College of Medicine Annual Research Forum

Target Population: Students of biomedical and life sciences research, faculty, and scientists

It is a pleasure to invite you to the College of Medicine Annual Research Forum organized by the College of Medicine, King Saud Bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences, Jeddah. The event will be hosted in the Convention Center, Deanship Building, on Tuesday, 11^th of September 2018, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

With a set of workshops and lectures dedicated to a variety of timely topics of interest to all students, physicians, and faculty of the health and science sectors, this forum aims at celebrating students’ research contributions for the previous academic years and at providing inspirational educational activities to promote research culture at College of Medicine. The forum offers opportunities to health profession students to present and discuss their research works as either oral presentation, moderated or unmoderated poster presentations.

Oral Presentations’ winners are awarded as following:
1^st place: 5000 SR
2^nd place: 3000 SR
3^RD place: 2000 SR

Moderated poster Presentations’ winners are awarded as following:
1^st place: 2000 SR
2^nd place:  1500 SR
3^rd place:  1000 SR

Topics of Interest: All topics related to biomedical and life sciences research

Abstract Structure
◈ Abstracts should be written in clear English language with no grammar or spelling mistakes.
◈ The length of an abstract should not exceed 400 words.
◈ Each abstract should include the following:

> Introduction (includes a background about the subject and justification of the study by stating the problem, its significance, and what does the author/s aims to achieve by the study)
> Methodology (includes how the study was conducted and how the data was collected and analyzed)
> Results (includes precise description  of the obtained data and findings)
> Conclusion (shows the drawn conclusions from the obtained data along with their implications)

Guide for Authors
◈ The deadline to submit abstracts is Tuesday, 28^th of August 2018.
◈ The author can select the preferred method of presentation, oral or poster; however, the final decision of abstract presentation is up to referees’ recommendations.
◈ Only one of the authors can present.
◈ Each presentation is permitted 8 minutes.
