ACADEMIC and STUDENTS AFFAIRS

The department supervises all Academic and students affairs.  As an operational unit it governs all of the following:

1. Admission and Registration
2. Student affairs
3. Medical Education Department
   1. Assessment Unit
   2. Faculty Development Unit
4. Clinical Skills Development Unit
5. Department of Basic Sciences
6. Department of Basic Medical Sciences
7. Library
8. Academic Affairs

It oversees all processes performed by the admission and registration and the student affairs including all curricular and extracurricular activities.  It also controls the educational processes including the academic staff, academic calendar, teaching process, teaching load, curricula, student attendance, exams, results and safe keeping of all students’ academic records.

Similarly, it is concerned with faculty and student enhancement training and courses as well as the clinical skills development. The unit is also responsible for building up a comprehensive up to date library in both electronic and hard copy formats.
